A Path to Feel, Love, and Connect

Not by thinking about your heart - but by really feeling it.

Does this sound familiar?

When someone asks how you are, you say "I'm fine" — and move on. You're good at functioning, at thinking things through, at being there for others. But feeling what's really going on inside? That's harder. Sometimes your heart closes after a sharp word and stays closed for hours. Sometimes you're kinder to everyone else than to yourself. And somewhere, quietly, there's a longing to feel more — more warmth, more connection, more of yourself.

A different way in

You can't open your heart with your head. It opens through feeling, a little courage, and gentle repetition. One simple heart practice returns in every step — and grows with you:

  • First on your own
  • Then in front of a mirror
  • Finally with someone you trust

Real change doesn't move in a straight line. That's why this is a "training" — like in sports, a practice you come back to, not a course you finish.

What's inside

8 steps — each with a short introduction, a guided video practice, and a worksheet.

Step 1

Turning Toward Your Heart

Arrive in your body, breathe through your heart, and simply feel what's there.

Step 2

What Do I Really Feel?

Discover how finely your heart responds — long before your mind finds words.

Step 3

What Closes Your Heart

Understand why your heart protects itself, and find a gentle way back: allow, accept, widen.

Step 4

Meeting Yourself in the Mirror

Turn toward the person you're often hardest on — with a kinder heart.

Step 5

Letting Your Heart Radiate

Discover the true size of your heart and let what you feel flow outward.

Step 6

An Open Heart Under Pressure

Come closer to your heart, and learn the Heart Pause for demanding moments.

Step 7

Listening With an Open Heart

With someone you trust, practice speaking from your heart — not about it.

Step 8

Your Heart as a Bridge

Gather it all into your own daily heart practice — and glimpse something even greater.

Is this for you?

This training is for you if…

  • you'd like to feel more, not just think more
  • you sense that your heart is often guarded, even with the people you love
  • you're ready for a little courage and regular practice
  • you want to meet yourself and others with more warmth

It's not for you if…

  • you're looking for a quick fix
  • you'd rather rush ahead — the heart doesn't open on command, but it does open to patience
  • you're going through a crisis or need therapeutic or medical support right now — please reach out to a therapist or doctor first

New to Openfield? Many people find it easier to begin with Root in Your Body or Back to This Moment — but every heart is welcome here.

Hi, I'm Axel

A coach, and someone who has learned a lot about the heart the hard way. For many years, I kept my heart only partly open — just in case. It took me a long time to even notice. Working with my heart has changed my life and my relationship with my wife in a deep way. After more than 30 years of Qigong and meditation, and 27 years of marriage, I train heart-centered living every single day — because I keep discovering that love changes everything.
